The biblical zoo Founded in the ’s as an attempt to house all the animals mentioned in the Bible (many no longer indigenous to Israel), the zoo today also features species from every continent. Even though it is formally named “The Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem,” most people still call it by its original name: the The Zoo has re-opened to the general public with a special ticket price.
Under the current restrictions, Zoo entry is limited and thus every visitor must have a ticket valid for the time and date they plan to be at the Zoo.
